On the way back to the office from lunch, Smatthew and I walked through "The Lyon's Den" set filming on the steps of Los Angeles' City Hall.

Coiffed and navy-blue suited, Guy Pearce ("Memento", "L.A. Confidential") was baking in the afternoon sun, getting his face swabbed by one of the crew-members. We were close enough to scruff-up his hair, which made me wonder what kind of security the studios were paying all these motorcycle LAPD officers for.

I went to the final Los Angeles showing of Matthew Barney's "Cremaster 3" at the Nuart last night. The place was packed with various young artists and students, with a sprinkling of 30-somethings in wire-rimmed glasses and flannel. As people were still filing in 5 minutes before showtime, Kevin from the Backstreet Boys (the tall brunette with the moustache) strolled up to the front in a blue baseball cap and orange shirt looking for a seat. He was very low-key, and it seemed the two gay men sitting in front of me were the only ones who recognized him besides me.

At intermission, I rushed to the bathroom before the lights came up, and nearly tripped over myself when in the last row, I spotted Lorenzo Lamas wearing ponytails (I assure you, the strongest thing I had that evening was Lulu's coffee).

I was sick at home last Monday and didn't go into work. Around noon, I decided to go downstairs to mini-market in the lobby of the Alexandria Hotel. There was a film crew in the building for the last week and a half, so when the elevators opened on my floor it was full of them. Expecting the usual rudeness from film crews based on past experiences, I was resigned to wait for another car, when one of the passengers said, "Come on, we'll make room for you." He had a suit and tie on w/ big Clark Kent glasses and a British accent.

I squeezed in next to him, and suddenly recognized his voice as the door closed; the nice guy with the glasses was Gary Oldman. I looked at him over my shoulder to make sure, when he said, "I hope you don't mind, we'll be going sideways as well." I mumbled something, but I can't remember. Nine floors later, we all got out at the lobby, which is when I realized I had no make-up on and was practically still in my pajamas.

While attending the Friday, 8:45 showing of Fischerspooner at the future Standard Hotel in Downtown L.A., my friends and I spotted actress Kelly Lynch (Charlie's Angels, Drugstore Cowboy, Roadhouse). She was in the lobby alone, waiting with the rest of us to be herded into the show.

an unnamed fellow starfucker relates that she spotted leonardo dicaprio and giselle bundchen at the beverly center! source says she looked about 15 years old and he looked, well, he looked lumpy. going down the escalator, they were headed up. source says they looked so damn normal, almost didn't recognize them. what brought them to my source's attention? her skin was GOLDEN.

kevin spacey and jeff bridges were spotted in downtown los angeles last night/early this morning. they were on 4th street, across from pageant (cool new club in the hellman building, fischerspooner after-party), and filming their new movie K-PAX. jeff bridges certainly gets around... or i do, because i saw him at the malibu film festival gala awards banquet less than a week ago. the film festival gave his dad, lloyd bridges a lifetime achievement award (posthumously), and jeff picked it up along with his mom and sister.

while at the malibu film festival's gala awards, i was seated next to james cameron. my companions for the evening included frances fisher and jonathan hyde - making my table a titanic mini-reunion. i also managed to exchange pleasantries with sean penn(!!!) and not spill anything on myself or him. also spotted in the crowd were: milton berle, shirley maclaine, nick nolte, vicki lewis, roger corman, charles bronson, and stacy keach.

Spotted Thursday, 3/1: Courtney Love at the after-party for the Fischerspooner performance at the new downtown Standard Hotel (open this fall). The party was at a new gallery/party space called "pageant" at the 4th street lofts. Courtney hung out with a couple of suits, jammed semi-incognito in a very tiny dark room with drums and guitars (we think), and slipped away in a waiting black Mercedes at 1 am. She was wearing a champagne colored slip dress, strappy champagne spike heels (French manicured toes), a long wool cream-colored coat with rhinestone-covered collars, and a diamond choker...walking around with the coat slumped down on her elbows so everyone could see her tattooed back (or maybe she was hot). Her mussy hair was cut short to the nape in the back and angled down to shoulder-length in the front (ew!), but her lips were a fabulously bright smudgy red...
